Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) — WordPress Plugins

Content Blocks allows you to display the category of custom post in widget in the area using shortcode.. If you will name non-administrator terms to modify the widget content you can use this plugin to provide them access to the custom posts that provide the content for the widget areas..  Content Blocks plugin is compatible with WPML Multi-Language plugin and automatically shows the language in the widget area.. To add content to widget drag it to the required position in the sidebar and select the title of the custom post in the widget configuration.. Go to 'Appearance > 'Widgets and drag Content Block widget to the required position in the sidebar.. Have you only wanted to create snippet of content name call to action that you can use many pages have the power to shift the offer without having to edit each page by hand.. You can also add terms to the content block to make easy for content director to find out where the block is displayed on the page. As requested Tony Allsopp the application of using the shortcode to pull in the content of content block in page or post has been added..  Custom Post Widget plugin is also using the effective get post instead of query posts to display the content block on the page. Thanks to Caspar Huebinger the plugin now has its own number and as requested Stephen James the author field has been added to Content Block edit screen..  Read more
