Google has opened the app up to array of musicians, athletes, and other public figures. The concept is similar to Reddit-style AMA session, and celebrities can choose to record answers whenever they want... The company has been experimenting with the concept for some time, and iOS of Cameos marks the time the app has been available.. Vertical video with celebrity talking heads may seem more like Snapchat or Instagram territory, and Google's been experimenting with different ways to make search more personalized and interactive, particularly on mobile. The company launched new feed feature last year, and more launched AMP Stories, new format for publishers.. For Cameos, there's also upside for participating celebrities. o having another platform to share their influence, being able to control even segment of what appears Google search results is huge. Traditionally determined by Google's ever-changing algorithms, what appears in the top results of Google search has long been frustration for some people.
