Learning new skills can be difficult, how do you balance the time it will take to learn skill with the benefits that will come with it. For 2015 I've set myself the goal of learning few new things that have come up in the last few months and could have made my easier if I had already had head start on them.. users want fluid experience and Angular is great for doing things in the front-end that I would have had to mess around for hours to achieve. Sure I've been working with HTML5 and bit of JavaScript and have not done anything super fancy and using AngularJS with CakePHP REST API could be winning combination.. AndroidI made the switch from iOS to Android last year and have not really looked back. there is not pressing need in my job to learn Android programming it's something I want to do. Rails LogoAnother interesting one for me, it seems there is genuine buzz around Rails as web programming framework and from my limited experience with Ruby it's language to work with. I have used number of apps written in rails and would love to have better understanding of how they are written and structured.
