No Title Tooltips — WordPress Plugins

Sometimes when you hover over text links or menus a tooltip pops up containing the text from the title attribute. Generally this does not look very good and can obscure page links and navigation links in drop down menus. This plugin will improve accessibility by removing the tooltips for the title attributes that WordPress automatically adds to your website.. The title attributes remain in the page for search engine friendliness.. Upload the plugin to your plugins directory.. Edit no-title-tooltips no-title-tooltips. php and delete the last few empty. lines. Works well but unfortunately it seems to work by disabling the Titles or Alt Text attribute altogether though it says it remains in the page.. Was hoping it would work in a way that it would disable the tooltip popup when mouseover hovering an image thumbnail. but still keep the attribute so that they could still exist as a caption within a lightbox of a clicked image. The following people have contributed to this plugin.. Browse the code check out the SVN repository or subscribe to the development log by RSS.......  Read more
