Remove Category URL — WordPress Plugins

This plugin completely remove the category from your permalinks e.g. mydomain. com category my-category to mydomain. com my-category.. Upload remove-category-url. zip to the wp-content plugins directory.. Activate the plugin through 'Plugins in WordPress.. The behaviour of WordPress is to add category to category permalinks if you leave. category. whitewash in Permalink settings. Even if they do have the same slug it won't snap anything just the category will get instructions Say if category and page are 'xyz then mydomain. com xyz will give you the category. Suppose you have books 'news you can add page 'news which will show up in the navigation but will show the 'news category... installation does not allow the rewrite feature in allowing the plugin. So if you have category with the same slug as page you'll get the category and not the page.. Nice coded but the result is exactly the same as when you set books slug.. Browse the code recheck out SVN repository or subscribe to the development log RSS....  Read more
