The folks at SEMrush spotted carousel of ads for new movie trailers showing Google search on Thursday.. Ads icon — features movie trailers hosted on YouTube in carousel. The ads each include image from the trailer with the length overlayed, the name of the movie and the date it's coming out in theaters.. For now, this is just test . Google spokesperson confirmed the test, and declined to share details, We're always testing new ways to improve our experience for our advertisers and users, and do not have anything specific to announce right now... That means it's working with number of studios, to include their YouTube trailers in this test format. You wo not see anything on this reflected in Google Ads interface yet.. Google is always testing new ad formats, surprisingly, has not leveraged YouTube videos as ads Google search results. It first experimented with video ads in search in 2008 and retail advertisers can now include Showcase Shopping Ads.
