setting up wordpress locally in less than 5 minutes

I've tried and tested lots of WordPress solutions over the years, most notably WAMP, Docker, and MAMP, to name just few.   I'd prefer to spend my time designing and developing rather than fiddling around in the terminal or wondering by SQL has become corrupted after reboot and is no longer recognized ..   Name your site, choose the environment and let it do its thing and install WordPress.   Only with environment can you flick between older and newer versions of PHP and MySQL and swapping nginx or Apache as the choice.   On the right-hand side, because I chose environment from the start there are dropdowns enabling me to change PHP and the type of server.   The 'Admin and 'View Site buttons on the top right open the area of the site and the live link..   It's considered light-weight to phpMyAdmin and is PHP script yet is not lacking in features.   It's choice for anyone building web applications locally on Mac and it's great to see this seamless compatibility within Local...   You could view the site on Android or iOS device without needing to publish to server first.   One last thing to mention is that because Flywheel are of course web hosting company there's 'Connect to Flywheel on the bottom right.   Read more
