Last week, I had the pleasure of talking with John Locke and Jonathan Denwood on WP-Tonic to talk about variety of things regarding WordPress economy, self-employment, development strategies, observations around the software, along with variety of other topics... They've talked to people who I think are worth follow and who are smarter, accomplished, and have insight on variety of topics in WordPress space.. WordPress Economy, Employment, and More. Over time, I've talked about this on my blog, and I enjoy talking with others in podcasts about it and how it intersects with their story.. And in this podcast, I talk about my first experience with WordPress, starting off .NET for my career, doing contract work at night, working with Rails and WordPress, shutting down my Rails work to ramp up WordPress work, and more... I also talk bit about my perspective regarding WordPress economy and some of the things that I've observed. Namely, we touch on the idea of why WordPress is one of the most dreaded technologies according to Stack Overflow and my perspective on that.. To that end, I talk about using WordPress as foundation for WordPress applications and discussions that can happen on blogs, Trac, etc... It comes down to the idea that there are people doing great work in WordPress space and they are so busy, we do not hear much about it.. You can add the podcast to your feed or even watch the video of the podcast on WP-Tonic podcast page..
